FWICE thanks Salman Khan for his contribution towards daily wage earners amid COVID-19 pandemic

In the past three months of the nationwide lockdown, Salman Khan left no stone unturned to extend his support to those in need. The actor, who is currently in Panvel since the lockdown began in March, transferred money into the accounts of numerous daily wage earners. Thanking him for his selflessness and kind gesture, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a letter acknowledging his contributions.

FWICE, in the letter, thanked Salman for his 'kindness and thoughtfulness'. The letter stated that the superstar has been taking care of the staff's 'expensive medical treatments or any other criticalities' for the past few years and the workers receive stress-free treatments for expensive medical ailments. The cine body, in the letter, mentioned that they stand in solidarity with Salman for all his efforts towards the needy.

BN Tiwari, President of FWICE shared, “We had given him the final list of 25,000 workers so far, who were in dire need of financial help. He has been transferring the money to them in installments as he doesn't want people to misuse it. We are thankful to him for helping our workers. If not for Salman, I don’t know how we and our families would have survived.”

Salman, apart from transferring money into bank accounts of daily wage earners, provided meals to those in need. The actor who is operating philanthropic activities under his organisation Being Human, sent across Eid kits comprising of sheer khurma ingredients to people in rural Maharashtra. Not just this, he contributed 1 lac sanitisers from his recently launched personal grooming range FRSH to Mumbai Police.

Workwise, Salman will be seen in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.
