A week after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise, actor's family hosts a prayer meet in Patna

It's been a week since Sushant Singh Rajput left the world for his heavenly abode. The actor, 34, died of suicide, sending his family, friends and fans into a zone of shock. Many are still in disbelief, but Sushant continues to live in everyone's memory. While the Mumbai police are currently investigating the death, Sushant's family in Patna held a prayer meet on Sunday (June 21).

A picture and video from Sushant's prayer meet in Patna went viral on social media. In the video, one can see people in the neighbourhood paying a visit to the bereaved family and offer their condolences. In the picture, Sushant's photo can be seen surrounded by white flowers.

On June 19, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad visited Sushant's Patna home and met his father KK Singh and sisters. He offered his condolence and tweeted about his visit with pictures. "Visited Patna home of #SushantSinghRajput. Met his family members. Paid my condolences. A super talented actor with great promise had to meet such an unfortunate end.Creative acting in films is left poorer with his sad demise.He had to achieve great heights.He deserved more," he tweeted.

Sushant, on June 14, was found hanging at his Bandra residence. He was cremated in Mumbai by his family in attendance of his industry friends on June 15. The Chhichhore actor's ashes were immersed in the Ganga on June 18. As per reports, Sushant's mentor Ekta Kapoor is planning a prayer meet in Mumbai.
