After three months of complete lockdown, theatres in Australia are gearing up to reopen for the audience. The first Bollywood film to re-launch in the theatres in Australia will be Ranveer Singh's and Sara Ali Khan's Simmba. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the action-entertainer will re-release on July 2.
Ranveer, on his Instagram account, today, shared a poster of the Simmba with the release date in Australia. Not just this, the film also re-released in Fiji on June 26. Like Australia, Simmba was the first Bollywood film to re-launch in Fiji post three months of lockdown.
Not just Simmba, but Rohit's horror-comedy Golmaal Again became the first Bollywood film to release in New Zealand soon after theatres re-opened. Featuring Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Shreyas Talpade, Tabu, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Arshad Warsi, the film re-released on June 25. Rohit, on his Instagram, on June 24, wrote, "New Zealand decides to re-release Golmaal Again in theatres making it the First Hindi Film to get a relaunch post covid. New Zealand is now covid free and is opening its theatres on 25th June with Golmaal Again.
As it is rightly said - ‘’THE SHOW MUST GO ON...’’"
Speaking of Simmba, the film is a part of Rohit's cop franchise that began with Ajay Devgn's Singham in 2011. It is the story of a corrupt cop whose life takes an unusual turn when he decides to avenge the brutal murder of a woman who was assaulted by brothers of an influential smuggler Durva.
