Veteran choreographer Saroj Khan, on July 3, breathed her last at a hospital in Mumbai due to cardiac arrest. She was reportedly admitted a couple of days ago after she complained of breathlessness, dizziness and sore throat. She was suffering from severe diabetes and age-related illness. The sudden demise of the veteran choreographer has sent Bollywood into mourning. Madhuri Dixit, who considers the veteran choreographer her guru, was devastated by the news. Thanking her for helping her reach her full potential in dance, the actress said the world lost an amazingly talented person.
"I'm devastated by the loss of my friend and guru, Saroj Khan. Will always be grateful for her work in helping me reach my full potential in dance. The world has lost an amazingly talented person. I will miss you My sincere condolences to the family," Madhuri tweeted.

'Master Ji', as she was fondly addressed by the industry, choreographed numerous chartbuster songs for Madhuri including Chane Ke Khet Mein, Mera Piya Ghar Aaya, Choli Ke Peeche, Dhak Dhak Karne Laga, Tamma Tamma Loge, Hum Ko Aaj Kal Hai, Dola Re Dola, Ek Do Teen among others. Their last collaboration was for Kalank's Tabaah Ho Gaye.
