After much wait, the poster of Mahesh Bhatt's directorial comeback film Sadak 2 was unveiled a while ago. Featuring Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in the lead roles, fans of the actors were left excited. However, soon after the poster was released, a complaint has been reportedly filed in a court in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, against Sadak 2 for hurting religious sentiments. According to reports, the use of Kailash Parvat on the image has not gone down well with the complainant.
As per reports, the complaint was lodged by Acharya Chandra Kishore Parashar, a resident of Sikandarpur locality of the town. In response to this, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mukesh Kumar, has fixed July 8 as the next date of hearing. The case is said to be lodged under IPC sections 295A (deliberately outraging religious feelings) and 120B (criminal conspiracy).
The poster of Sadak 2 was unveiled by Alia during the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar's live press conference held on June 29. While sharing the poster, the actress spoke about the significance of Kailash Parvat and said, "Mount Kailash, the ageless mountain, has the footprints of gods and sages. It is the abode of the god of all gods, Lord Shiva. So do we really need anything else? Or actors in that sacred space? Since the beginning of time, humanity found its shelter in Kailash. This is a place where all search ends. Sadak two is a road to love. This sequel to Sadak will take you on the mother of all love pilgrimages."
Sadak 2 will see Mahesh direct his two daughters Alia and Pooja. This is the first time that Alia is collaborating with her father and sister. Sadak 2 also stars Jisshu Sengupta, Priyanka Bose and Akshay Anand. It is a sequel to the hit 1991 film Sadak, a romantic thriller, which featured Pooja and Sanjay. It is produced by Mukesh Bhatt. It will release on Disney+Hotstar.
