Rakul Preet Singh takes a 50% pay-cut to compensate producers' losses due to lockdown?

The Coronavirus pandemic brought the film industry across the nation to a complete standstill. Now, as filmmakers are gearing up to resume shoots after three months of lockdown, celebrities are reportedly offered pay-cuts. As producers have incurred a substantial amount of loss, actors are now asked to slash down their salaries. According to latest reports, Rakul Preet Singh is among those who have taken a pay-cut. A leading daily's report mentioned that the actress who is a popular face in Bollywood and down South, has accepted a 50% cut in her remuneration. 

As per the report, the 50% pay-cut can be estimated to Rs.75 lacs per project and Rakul is said to have happily accepted the deduction to compensate for producers' losses. She is yet to make an official announcement regarding the same.

Workwise, Rakul will be seen in John Abraham's Attack and with Arjun Kapoor in Kaashvie Nair's cross-border rom-com. Apart from that, she has Tamil films namely Ayalaan and Indian 2 in her kitty. She will shortly begin working with Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra for Indra Kumar's upcoming film reportedly titled Thank God.

Recently, reports of Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and the team of Brahmastra taking a pay-cut did the rounds. However, producer Karan Johar dismissed it as false.
