On July 11, Abhishek Bachchan and his father Amitabh Bachchan were tested positive for Coronavirus. The father-son duo is currently admitted to Nanavati Hospital for treatment. In the wake of this, the dubbing studio where Abhishek recorded for his recently released web series Breathe: Into The Shadows will remain temporarily closed. Amit Sadh, who also dubbed for the show with Abhishek has tested himself for the novel COVID-19 and the report is awaited. Talking to a leading daily about the same, Amit told that Abhishek and he never dubbed together as two actors can't do so at a time. Amit clarified that they just obliged for pictures together.
"My family and I are getting tested for Covid as we speak. We all are tense. It’s perhaps not the right time for me to talk but let me clarify, Abhishek and I never dubbed together. No two actors can do it together, anyway. Yes, we were dubbing for our web series, but he did it in the morning and I did it later that day. I just dubbed for two days. I used to walk in at the time that he would walk out. We must have left together on one occasion but I don’t want people to go by the paparazzi pictures and assume that we dubbed together. We obliged for pictures together, that’s it," Amit told.
When Amit was asked about the safety measures taken at the studio, he said no outsider was allowed inside while actors were recording. He further added that masks weren't worn as dubbing can't be done wearing them. "You can’t wear masks while dubbing. That’s not possible," Amit said.
Renowned voice-over-artist Mona Shetty, who manages the studio, told the daily that they took all possible precautionary measures. She added that a fogger is at the entrance while UV disinfectants are at various points and air purifiers are installed in every room. She said that staff members frequently sanitise touchpoints like doorknobs and they have hired an agency to keep the premise clean and sanitised. Mona told that they will be consulting the BMC for further action.
