Diljit Dosanjh, in 2018, stepped into the shoes of former Indian hockey team captain and current Haryana’s sports and youth affairs minister Sandeep Singh for his biopic titled Soorma. The film that also featured Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi in key roles was appreciated by critics as well as the audience. Now, as Soorma completed two years on July 15, 2020, Diljit went down the memory lane. The actor, on his Instagram account, recalled his journey of transforming into Sandeep and thanked people associated with Soorma for priceless experiences.

On the other hand, Sandeep, on whom Soorma is based on, announced its sequel. The former Indian hockey player, on his Twitter, confirmed that part two will be titled Singh Soorma and will majorly focus on his political journey.
