Not Diwali 2020, but Salman Khan's Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai to release in theatres in 2021?

After missing the major Eid 2020 opening on the big screen due to Coronavirus pandemic, Salman Khan was keen to release his much-anticipated Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai over the Diwali weekend. The superstar, in order to wrap the remaining portions, including a song with Disha Patani, had reportedly booked a Mumbai-based studio for the month of August. However, with the rise in COVID-19 cases in the past few weeks and considering the World Health Organisation's statement regarding the possibility of the novel virus being airborne in closed rooms, Salman has reportedly changed his decision. According to a leading daily's report, Salman has decided to postpone the shoot till October end. As per a source, the superstar discussed the same with this team and felt filming indoors can be risky for the cast and crew.

"On Sunday, Salman called off the impending schedule after discussing with his team and co-producers Atul Agnihotri, Sohail Khan and Nikhil Namit. He felt that filming indoors could pose a risk to the health of the cast and crew. On the other hand, an outdoor shoot was not feasible in the monsoon. So, he has decided to hold off the stint till October-end, post which the unit will film the remaining portions — including a song — at outdoor locations," the source told.

With this, a Diwali release for Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai won't be possible. Stating that the safety of the team is Salman's first priority, the source said the makers are now planning a 2021 festival release. "Salman's first priority is the safety of his team members. The makers are now eyeing a 2021 festival release; by then, the theatres will have also reopened," the source added.

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai also stars Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff. The film is directed by Prabhudeva and is produced by Sohail Khan and Atul Agnihotri's production house Reel Life Entertainment.
