After three months of staying indoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Taimur Ali Khan stepped out of their house for the first time on June 7 to enjoy the sunset at Marine Drive. However, the trio was clicked without their masks on and Kareena-Saif were told to not step out with their three-year-old son in the wake of the pandemic. Soon after the pictures went viral, Kareena, Saif and Taimur were heavily trolled. Reacting to the same, Saif, during an interview with a leading daily told, that they did wear their masks and on spotting no person on the promenade, they took it off. He further added that when they saw people around, they drove back home.
"We had our masks on, but the promenade looked so deserted, so we took them off. But as soon as we saw that there were people around and were told children were not allowed out, we put on our masks and drove away. That was not reported, but it’s a fact that we have been responsible, law-abiding citizens and stayed home all through the lockdown and even now, only interact with a few family members," Saif told.
The actor further added that Kareena and he decided to go out with Taimur as he had been locked in for three months at a stretch. "That was the only time we went out and took Tim along because he’d been locked in for around three months," he said.
