Director Priyadarshan forced to resume shoot of 'Hungama 2' by September, thanks to four child artists!

After nearly four months of lockdown, filmmakers are gearing up to resume shooting of films with necessary precautions in place. While directors are reworking the schedules of actors to ensure their safety, Priyadarshan has found himself in a unique fix. The filmmaker who is making his comeback with Hungama 2, is compelled to resume shooting by September, thanks to four child artists pivotal to the narrative. During an interview with a leading daily, Priyadarshan told that the children aged between eight and 11, have been growing steadily in height and their physical changes can pose a continuity issue. Citing this reason, Priyadarshan said the team will resume work on the comedy by September 15. For the same, they will be travelling to Kullu and Manali for the final 15 days shoot.

"At this age, children grow up rapidly; there are changes in facial structure and height. While the physical changes that have happened in the past four months will not make a huge difference on screen, it will be difficult to retain continuity if we have to wait for some more months. Fortunately, only a song has to be shot with them," he told.

Apart from the four children, an 18-month baby is also a part of Hungama 2. However, fortunately, the makers have finished shooting with the baby in March. "Thankfully, we had completed filming the baby's portions in Ooty in March. The four children will be required only for four days on the set," producer Ratan Jain said.

Ratan further added that the Kullu and Manali Government has permitted Hungama 2's shoot but only with guidelines in place. He said that the song is to be shot on the streets in the valley and it will be possible only after monsoon. "The songs and sequences require us to film on the streets of Kullu and Manali. Considering an outdoor schedule is not possible during the monsoon, we are likely to resume work from September 15," Ratan added.

Hungama 2 stars Shilpa Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Pranitha Subhash and Meezaan.
