On December 24, 2019, it was announced that Manoj Bajpayee, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Diljit Dosanjh are uniting for a family comedy. Titled Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, the film is directed by Abhishek Sharma. While the release date of the project isn't determined, thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic, the makers decided to surprise fans by giving them a glimpse of the world the film is set in. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan today, a video was shared on social media platforms.
The video introduces the key characters-Mangal Rane (Manoj), Tulsi Rane (Fatima) and Suraj (Diljit). A quirky banter between siblings Tulsi and Mangal leads to the former adding Suraj to their family group as a way to inform everyone about their relationship. Here, we get to know that Mangal is definitely not pleased with Suraj. Well, it seems Mangal will be 'bhari' on Suraj's and Tulsi's relationship. "Chahe rakshabandhan ho ya ho Eid, har din padega #SurajPeMangalBhari. #happyrakhshabandhan @diljitdosanjh @fattysanashaikh #AbhishekSharma @ZeeStudios_ #SurajPeMangalBhari," the makers wrote while sharing the clipping.
