The Coronavirus pandemic brought the world to a standstill. Now, as social activities are beginning in stages after five months, filmmakers have started planning their schedules. Shakun Batra, who was to take his relationship drama with Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi on floors in March, has reportedly started work on the film once again. According to a leading daily's report, the director is toying with the idea of taking the film on floors in November in Sri Lanka. A source close to the development said Shakun will be taking a team of 50 to Sri Lanka after India resumes international flights.
"On August 1, Sri Lanka opened the airports for tourists again. Shakun is hopeful that India will resume flights to the country by November," the source told.
Deepika, in a previous interview, said that the yet-to-be-titled film isn't light-hearted but belongs to a genre called 'domestic noir'. As per reports, Deepika is paired opposite Siddhant while a male actor paired with Ananya is yet to be announced. The film reportedly orbits around two couples. The team, before the lockdown, had script reading sessions in the city and were excited to take the film on floors.
The yet-to-be-titled relationship drama is produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Production. The initial release date was February 12, 2021, however, a change in date is yet to be confirmed.
