Akshay Kumar's and Katrina Kaif's highly anticipated film Sooryavanshi got affected due to the sudden outbreak of Coronavirus in the month of March. The film directed by Rohit Shetty was scheduled to hit the screens on March 24 that is on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. Now, as theatres are yet to reopen, fans are curious to know about the new release date and so is Ranveer Singh. Ranveer, who will be reprising his role of Simmba for a cameo, gatecrashed Akshay's Instagram live session with Bear Grylls.
Ranveer, after complimenting Akshay's moustached look for Bell Bottom, went on to request the superstar to release Sooryavanshi at the earliest. "Akki Sir, Sooryavanshi release karwao," Ranveer said. The Instagram live was held ahead of the premiere of Akshay's Into The Wild With Bear Grylls episode. The Bollywood superstar is currently in Scotland to shoot for Bell Bottom.

Sooryavanshi is said to release in theatres in Diwali 2020. The actioner also stars Ajay Devgn in a cameo. He will be returning as Bajirao Singham. The trailer of the film was released on March 2, 2020, with enthusiasm. While many Bollywood films that were ready for release opted for an OTT opening, however, the makers of Sooryavanshi are waiting for theatres to reopen as the film is made for a big-screen viewing experience.
