It was in March that actress Shikha Malhotra who had worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Fan and with Sanjay Mishra in Kanchli volunteered as nurse to work with BMC-run trauma hospital in Jogeshwari, Mumbai. Shikha, who had been serving at the hospital for the past six months, revealed on social media that she has tested positive for COVID-19.
She has been hospitalized and undergoing treatment for the novel and deadly coronavirus. Shikha took to Instagram to give a health update. She wrote that she was feeling short of oxygen in the body and urged people to take precautions and stay home as much as possible. She also asked people for blessings and told them to take the virus seriously.
In March, Shikha had revealed, “For those who don’t know that I am a #Registered #BscHonoursNurse from Vardhaman Mahavir Medical & #SafdarjungHospital Spending my 5 years...so sharing a glance of my working hours in the hospital. She had further added, “Always there to serve the country as a #Nurse as a #entertainer wherever however I can need your blessings please be at home be safe and support the government. Thank you so much Mumu to make me what I am today Jai Hind.”
