Aamir Khan's and his former wife Reena Datta's daughter Ira Khan remained away from showbiz till the time she made her debut as a director in 2019 with a stage play titled Euripides' Medea. The young girl isn't following her superstar father's footsteps but is carving a niche for herself in her own way. On the occasion of World Mental Health Day on Saturday, Ira opened up about suffering from clinical depression.
Ira, in an Instagram video, told that she has been clinically depressed for the last four years. Saying that she is much better now, the young director added that she wanted to do something for mental health and start a conversation. "Hi, I'm depressed. I have been for more than four years now. I've been to a doctor and I'm clinically depressed. I'm doing much better now. For over a year now, I wanted to do something for mental health, but I wasn't sure what to do. So, I have decided to take you on a journey, my journey and see what happens. Hopefully, we will get to know ourselves better, understand mental illness better. Let's start from where I started. What do I have to be depressed about? Who am I to be depressed? I have everything, right?" she said in the video.
