Akshay Kumar became Bollywood's first superstar to start and finish a feature film amid the Coronavirus pandemic. The 53-year-old actor shot for Bell Bottom in Scotland and returned to Mumbai recently. Days after, Akshay faced the arc lights once again as he resumed the filming of Prithviraj. A trade source told a leading daily that the latest 15 days schedule of the Chandraprakash Dwivedi directorial kicked off at the Yash Raj Films studio with Akshay and Sonu Sood. Reportedly, Sanjay Dutt, who is currently undergoing treatment for lung cancer, will return to the sets post Diwali.
"The creative and production design teams had been working relentlessly to ensure that the extravagant sets, which have been designed in keeping with the architectural style of the 12th century, were built by the first week of October. While debutant Manushi Chhillar, who plays Akshay's love interest Sanyogita, will join the unit tomorrow, Sanjay Dutt will complete his portions only post Diwali," the trade source told.

The director of Prithviraj, Chandraprakash Dwivedi confirmed the news and told the daily, "We have resumed Prithviraj shoot at YRF studios and the team is excited to have a great schedule ahead."
Prithviraj will trace the story of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan who stood strong and battled against Muhammad of Ghor and his ruthless invaders of India. With his bravery and valour, the warrior attained the status of a legendary ruler and fighter of free India. It also stars Ashutosh Rana in an important role.
