Rohit's Simmba starred Ranveer Singh and was based on Simmba, a corrupt police officer, who works for Durva, an influential smuggler. However, his life takes an unusual turn when he decides to avenge a woman who was assaulted by Durva's brothers. The film released in December 2018 and went on to become a superhit and Ranveer's highest grossing film in his 10-year-long career.
On the work front, Rohit is currently awaiting the release of Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi, a part of his cop universe. The film was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
