The lockdown due to COVID-19 was planned for just 15 days initially. However, with the constant rise in cases, it got extended by nearly three months. Now, the country is slowly opening but several industries and job opportunities are yet to bounce back from the major setback. Amid this, people are facing financial difficulties, including Aditya Narayan. Aditya, son of singer Udit Narayan, in an interview, highlighted how the lockdown affected him financially. The actor-singer told that his savings have dried up and he had to withdraw the money invested in Mutual Funds to survive. He further added that he just had Rs. 18,000 left his bank account.
"If the government extends the lockdown even further, people will start dying of hunger. My whole savings are depleted. I’ve literally finished my savings. All the money I had invested in Mutual Funds, I had to withdraw all of that to survive. Because nobody had planned that I wouldn’t be working for a year and yet chilling it out. Nobody plans it like that. Unless you’re like some billionaire. So there is no choice. Like I’ve Rs 18,000 left in my account," Aditya told.
Aditya said that if he doesn't start working by this month, he'll be left with no money and might have to sell off his bike too. "So if I don’t start working by October, I would have no money. I would have to sell off my bike or something. It’s really tough," he added.
Recently, Aditya confirmed marrying his Shaapit film co-star Shweta Agarwal by the end of this year.
