After the humongous success of Kabir Singh in 2019, Shahid Kapoor signed up for yet another remake. The actor will be seen portraying the lead role in the Hindi adaptation of Nani's highly-acclaimed Telugu film Jersey. Due to the pandemic, the film got delayed. The team resumed shoot a while ago. Now, in the latest development, Shahid confirmed that the Uttarakhand schedule of Jersey has wrapped up. The actor thanked the Government of Uttarakhand for supporting them and assistance in completing the shoot safely.
"It’s a wrap on this schedule of #Jersey. I would like to thank the Govt of Uttarakhand for supporting and putting in place efficient policies that enabled us to safely shoot and wrap the schedule of our film in the many beautiful locations of the state," Shahid tweeted.

Directed by Gowtham Tinnauri, Jersey is jointly produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations, Allu Aravind's Geetha Arts and Aman Gill's Brat Films. It was scheduled to release in theatres on August 28, 2020. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur. Jersey is about a failed cricketer who makes a comeback in his thirties to fulfill his son's desire. Shahid's real-life father Pankaj will be seen in the role of his cricket coach.
