A romantic film with all the ingredients of a blockbuster, the Yash Raj Films' mega-blockbuster, continues to be a favourite among the audience. Now, the Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol headlined Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge will be completing 25 years since release tomorrow that is October 20. Ahead of its silver jubilee, there is special news for fans of Raj-Simran.
Heart of London Business Alliance, on the occasion of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge's 25th anniversary, announced that a bronze statue of Shah Rukh and Kajol will be unveiled at London's Leicester Square. The statue will be of a scene that was filmed in the heart of London. Shah Rukh's and Kajol's statue will be joining the 'Scenes in the Square' film trail that includes installations of Harry Potter, Laurel and Hardy, Gene Kelly from Singin' in the Rain and Wonder Woman.
Talking to a leading daily about the statue, Mark Williams, destination marketing director, Heart of London Business Alliance, told, "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is one of the most successful Hindi films of all time, and this statue is a fitting tribute to the global popularity of Bollywood." According to the daily, the organisers are planning to invite Shah Rukh and Kajol to unveil the artwork in 2021.
