Richa Chadha, who is in an inter-faith relationship with actor Ali Fazal, was highly disappointed when Jewellery brand Tanishq pulled down its ad after receiving severe backlash online. The 45-second ad featured a Muslim family decorating their house as they geared up to celebrate a traditional South Indian baby shower ceremony for their pregnant daughter-in-law. Netizens slammed the ad for promoting 'love-jihad', the marriage of a Hindu girl to a Muslim boy.
Now, in an interview with a leading daily, Richa has talked about the ad and said, “My life is like that ad." She further stated, “I’ve got so much love from Ali’s family, and he from mine. I feel sorry for those loveless people who have a problem with someone else’s marital choices."
After the ad was withdrawn by the jewellery brand, Richa had taken to Twitter and declared, “It is a beautiful ad.”

Richa and Ali have been dating for a long time now. The couple was all set to tie the knot this year but had to postpone their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
