Marking the directorial debut of Aditya Chopra, the film saw Kajol and Shah slip into the characters of Simran and Raj effortlessly. From enjoying a historic 1,274-week run at Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir theatre in Mumbai to setting new trends in Indian cinema, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was a landmark film in the history of Bollywood. 

Today, as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge completes 25 years, the production house Yash Raj Films re-released its trailer. Bringing back priceless memories associated with the film, the trailer made us relive the moments that Raj and Simran painted for us on the silver screen.

On the other hand, on Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge's silver jubilee, the film got a special emoji on Twitter. The emoji is of a cowbell, which became a token of the protagonists' romance in the storyline of the film and continues to be associated with the film.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge also starred late Amrish Puri, Anupam Kher, Himani Shivpuri, Parmeet Sethi, Pooja Ruparel, Farida Jalal and Satish Shah among others.
