Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi sent their fans into a zone of excitement with the announcement of their upcoming project. Titled Phone Bhoot, the film is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, who directed the highly acclaimed web series Mirzapur 2. This is the first time Katrina will be collaborating with the relatively new actors Ishaan and Siddhant. Now, after the lockdown setback, the team is reportedly gearing up to start work on the horror-comedy. A source close to the film told a daily that the makers are preparing to begin the shoot in Goa by month-end.
According to the source, Katrina, Ishaan and Siddhant had an elaborate script reading session last month. "While Siddhant has been shooting for Shakun Batra's yet-untitled next in Goa, the remaining cast of Phone Bhoot joined him in the beach state for an elaborate reading session last month. After the initial prep, Katrina headed to the UK to meet her family. Happy with the way the readings panned out, Gurmmeet informed his team that he is ready to roll with the project soon," the source told.
The director Gurmmeet though confirmed that he will be starting it soon, but didn't mention the month. "I am thrilled to start the project. For the moment, I am taking baby steps. Things have been uncertain because of the pandemic, but we will get clarity soon," he told the daily.
Phone Bhoot is produced by Excel Entertainment’s Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and is written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath.
