Amrita Rao, who recently welcomed a baby boy with husband RJ Anmol, has been away from showbiz for quite some time now. But back in the day, with films like Vivah and Main Hoon Na, the actress ruled the hearts of many. She was also linked up with her co-star Shahid Kapoor with whom she shared screen space in three films - Vivah, Ishq Vishq and Waah! Life Ho Toh Aisi.
Recently, the actress addressed the rumours that did the rounds back then. She said, "Shahid was always in a relationship when I was his co-star. The funny part is that Shahid and I have only been very good colleagues, we were not even friends who hung out with each other."

Amrita went on to say that despite a strictly professional relationship, both had tremendous respect for each other. "We have tremendous respect for each other as artists," she said. Amrita also added that she is aware that the audience hoped that the two of them were a real-life couple, but that wasn't the case at all. "Yes, the audience always wished that we were a real-life couple but that had only got to do with our tremendous on-screen popularity," she added.
When asked if they will be pairing up together, Amrita said, "Recently Shahid also expressed on social media that he misses working with me, which was very sweet. Why Shahid and I were never cast together after Vivah is a million-dollar question and something to think about."
