After a long lockdown, Shahid Kapoor resumed the shoot of his upcoming film Jersey. The Gowtham Tinnauri directorial also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur in the lead. As the actor is busy with the shoot, he delighted fans with a glimpse into his preparation for the role of a cricketer in Jersey.
Shahid, on Instagram, on November 7, shared a picture from the field. Holding a bat in his hand, Shahid sported long hair. Dressed in black, the actor was all set for the practice session before facing the cameras. "#jersey prep. . . De dhana dhan," he wrote.
On Sunday, Shahid went for an early morning bike ride. The actor shared pictures of himself on the bike. In the pictures, he is seen dressed in pants and a leather jacket. "#morningride," he wrote. For the unversed, Shahid is passionate about bikes.
Directed by Gowtham, Jersey is jointly produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations, Allu Aravind's Geetha Arts and Aman Gill's Brat Films. It was scheduled to release in theatres on August 28, 2020. The film is about a failed cricketer who makes a comeback in his thirties to fulfill his son's desire. Shahid's real-life father Pankaj will be seen in the role of his cricket coach. Jersey is the official Hindi remake of Nani's Telugu-language sports drama film of the same name.
