Irrfan's son Babil Khan, through his social media posts, is keeping his late father's memories and legacy alive. From unseen pictures to unknown anecdotes, he has been taking Irrfan's fans down the memory lane. Sharing yet another priceless picture of his mother Sutapa Sikdar and father Irrfan, Babil penned a heartfelt poem.
"It’s true, time does indeed slow down in the spaces between your breaths. And once you’ve dreamed of more, how could you settle for less. Perhaps, it was over because you knew. Or perhaps, because I grew. But the sky isn’t so blue, When the sun is setting over you," he wrote. In the throwback picture, Sutapa and Irrfan are giving each other a warm hug as they posed for the camera.
On Irrfan's 6-month death anniversary, Babil shared a picture with his father. "2 man squad," wrote Babil.
On November 1, he shared yet another throwback click with his father. He revealed that was the first time Irrfan saw him perform on the stage. "Probably the first time he saw me perform on stage," Babil wrote.
Irrfan, after a two-year-long battle with a neuroendocrine tumour, passed away in Mumbai on April 29.
