In India, Diwali is one of the most awaited festivals of the year. Now, as the nation is soaking into festive vibes by decorating their homes with lanterns, diyas, rangoli, and relishing sweets, B-Town, unfortunately, isn't buzzing with lavish parties due to the pandemic. This year, celebrities will be celebrating Diwali with their near and dear ones at home. Deepika Padukone, who will be celebrating her 2nd wedding anniversary with Ranveer Singh tomorrow (November 14-15) shared her Diwali plans with a leading daily. In an interview, the actress revealed that the couple will be keeping it low key.
Deepika shared that they will be performing a simple pooja and will majorly spend quality time with family. "Honestly, we are going to keep things quite low key, keeping in the mind the sensitivity (of the situation) towards the environment and the people around us. It’s been a difficult year for many in different ways (owing to the pandemic). So, what we intend to do is, to stay at home, do a simple pooja and spend time with family. Normally, that’s what we, anyway, do," Deepika told.
Deepika wished for everyone's good health and peace of mind. "This year, on Diwali, if I had to wish for something for everybody, it would be good health and peace of mind. And that’s my prayer for people most of the time, even when I wish them on their birthdays as I feel that’s the real core of everything we do. Everything else is secondary," she shared.
Deepika recently returned to Mumbai after wrapping the shoot of Shakun Batra's relationship drama in Goa.
