Rajkummar Rao’s and Shraddha Kapoor’s horror-comedy film Stree was a runaway hit when it released in 2018. The film was co-produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and writers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK of D2R films. However, a dispute arose regarding the profit and intellectual rights of the film that created a wedge between the two parties.
However, now and official statement has been shared by Maddock Films and D2R Films stating that all intellectual property rights and derivative rights therefore are solely owned by Maddock Films Pvt Ltd and that the issue has been resolved amicably.
