Ranveer Singh's new ad for Bingo has not gone very well with Netizens as they have slammed the company and the actor for allegedly mocking late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Twitter users trended #BoycottBingo and called out Ranveer Singh for making fun of the Dil Bechara star.
Titled ‘Beta aage kya plan hai’, the video showed Ranveer Singh attending a house party when an elder person asks him about his future plans. Soon, several uncles and aunties suggest ideal plans while Ranveer, after having a Bingo chip, utters some scientific terms like 'photon', 'algorithm' and 'paradox' to shut down the relatives. And as soon as confused relatives walk away, Ranveer reveals that the only solution to such tricky questions is by using a 'mad angle'.
Paradoxical Photons of Algorithm!
E=mc2!
Mitramandal mai Aliens ki feelings match karni hai..What the hell do you mean by using these terms??

@RanveerOfficial I just want to know who dubbed your portion in the ad?
I'm sure you don't know meaning of a single word here!
If any chance you know, brief me what is Algorithm! Or what is Photon!
Level matters, mocking doesn't!#BoycottBingo #NoSushantNoBollywood pic.twitter.com/gA32iyAY51— Srinwanti (@srinwanti_munai) November 18, 2020

After watching the advertisement, social media users took offense as the words 'photon', 'algorithm' and 'paradox' were often used by Sushant in his Instagram posts and interviews.
While ITC Foods did not delete the advertisement, it released a statement saying the allegations were “completely false, erroneous and mischievous”. The company said that the ad was shot in October last year and released now due to a delay in launching the product. “Such kind of erroneous messages are likely knowingly spreading falsehoods,” the company said. “We request to not fall prey to such mischievous posts. The recent Bingo! advertisements was shot more than a year ago in October 2019. It is being aired this year because of delay in the launch of Bingo! Mad Angels Cheese Nachos and Bingo! Mad Angles Pizza due to Covid-19 pandemic.”
