On Aditya Roy Kapur's 35th birthday, it was confirmed that the actor has teamed up with Ahmed Khan for an actioner-thriller. Titled OM-The Battle Within, the film will mark the directorial debut of action director Tinu Verma's son Kapil Verma. Putting an end to speculations, the makers announced that Sanjana Sanghi is paired opposite Aditya. OM will be Sanjana's second Bollywood film. Her debut film was Dil Bechara. Talking to a leading daily about signing OM, Sanjana said the film will give her a chance to pack some punches and step into a never seen before role. 

"I explored many scripts, but OM offered me the spectrum jump that I was looking for, giving me an entirely unchartered territory of a big commercial actioner. She’s someone every young Indian girl aspires to be, and a character one hasn’t seen before. I’m excited because I will get to do a lot of action for which various kinds of training and prep is currently on. It’s testing, both physically and mentally, but thrilling too," Sanjana told.

Ahmed Khan, who will be producing OM, said that the film will be shot across three cities in India along with an international schedule. Stating that Tiger Shroff has set the benchmark high for action-thrillers, Ahmed shared, "Tiger has aced the action space which is why we always succeed in achieving our best. Physically, Aditya is built for action and I’m sure Kapil will bring out the best of Aditya." 

OM will go on floors early next month and the team is aiming to wrap the shoot by March 2021. The film is produced by Zee Studios, Ahmed and Shaira Khan. The actioner will release next year.
