Vidya Balan is currently shooting for her upcoming film Sherni in Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat. The actress plays the role of a forest officer in the film directed by Amit Masurkar. While the shoot was going on in full swing, reports surfaced that the filming was allegedly stopped after Vidya declined Madhya Pradesh foreign minister Vijay Shah's invitation for dinner.
According to reports, vehicles of the production team of Sherni were allegedly stopped from entering a forest for the shoot. This reportedly came a day after Vidya turned down the dinner invitation. It is being reported that the District Forest Officer (DFO) of Balaghat stopped the vehicles of the team from entering the area and reportedly told the team that only two vehicles are allowed.

Reacting to the news, Shah claimed that it is untrue. Refusing the allegation, he told a media agency, "I was there (Balaghat) on request from those who took permission for the shoot and requested me for lunch or dinner. I said not possible now, I will meet them when I go to Maharashtra. Lunch or dinner was cancelled, the shoot wasn't."
