Actor-politician Sunny Deol tests COVID positive, to remain in self-isolation

Actor-politician Sunny Deol has tested positive for COVID-19. The BJP MP from Gurdaspur, on his Twitter account, shared the news and asked people who came in close contact with him to get themselves tested. Sunny is currently in the Kullu district. The actor reportedly underwent shoulder surgery recently in Mumbai and was recuperating at a farmhouse near Manali in Kullu district. According to reports, Sunny and his friends were planning to leave for Mumbai, but his COVID test result came out positive on Tuesday.  

"I got myself tested for coronavirus and the result has come back positive. I am in isolation and feeling well. I request that all those who came in contact with me recently should isolate themselves and get tested," Sunny tweeted. Himachal Pradesh health secretary also tweeted about Sunny's report.

Workwise, Sunny will be seen with his father Dharmendra, brother Bobby Deol and son Karan Deol in Apne 2. The film will go on floors in March next year and will release on Diwali 2021. Apne 2 will be directed by Anil Sharma and will be produced by Deepak Mukut. Sharing the announcement of the film, Sunny wrote, "With the blessings of Babaji and your love, all of us will be seen together, again. Feeling blessed to get a chance to work with my father, brother again this time with my son. #Apne2, in cinemas Diwali 2021"
