Today, as she celebrates her 76th birthday, her fans and family members showered love on social media. This year, due to the pandemic, she is celebrating the day at home in Delhi. While her daughter Soha Ali Khan couldn't make it to Delhi, Sharmila's granddaughter Sara Ali Khan spent quality time with her 'Badi Amman'.
Sara, who is in Delhi for Atrangi Re's shoot, visited her grandmother on her birthday. The 25-year-old actress shared pictures from the simple party on her Instagram. "Happy happy Birthday Badi Amman Thank you for being my pillar of support, guiding force and inspiration. I love you lots " Sara wrote.
In the picture, Sara is seen dressed in pastel ethnic wear. Sharmila looks lovely in a red outfit. They are posing against balloons that read, "Happy Birthday" and "It's Your Day".
Sharmila, in previous interviews, mentioned that she is proud of Sara and impressed with the way she gives interviews. The young actress, on the other hand, has expressed that her grandmother has always epitomised beauty for her.
