Kareena Kapoor Khan is expecting her second child with Saif Ali Khan in 2021. The actress who is the mother of 3 years old Taimur Ali Khan has been putting forth her best maternity fashion amid the pandemic. While the Kapoors and Khan are excited for the arrival of the newest addition to the family, fans are curious to know whether Kareena and Saif have decided on the name of their child.
Kareena, on her podcast What Women Want 3 spoke to Neha Dhupia about the same and said Saif and she haven't thought about it after the whole controversy around Taimur's name. "After the whole controversy of Taimur, both Saif and me have not even thought about it. We’re like going to leave it last minute and then spring a surprise," Kareena told.
In 2016, when Kareena and Saif announced Taimur's birth, they received backlash and criticism over the name of their son. Many felt Saif shouldn't have named his son after Timur, a Turkish ruler who invaded India. Reacting to the controversy, Saif told a leading daily, "I haven’t told anyone about this — I thought for a second about changing his name. For a couple of weeks. And Kareena was a little against it, and she said, ‘People respect you for your opinion and you can’t’... So I said, yeah, but it’s not about people. I don’t want him to get unpopular."
