In the month of August, a food delivery company introduced menstrual period leave for their employees. Now, on November 23, the Delhi High Court asked Union and Delhi governments to take a decision on paid period leave to all women employees for four days each month and payment of overtime allowance in case women opt to work during the menstruation period. Reacting to the menstrual leave policy in India, Kareena Kapoor Khan told a leading daily that every woman should do what is best for her. The actress also talked about managing work while menstruating.
"Every woman’s body is different, and their comfort levels are different. Some people have back pain or terrible cramps, and if a woman cannot come to work, every company should understand that. For instance, I might not get cramps, but I could not have possibly done certain songs when I had my periods, so I have managed my work around that. Companies or production houses should understand that. This is a natural thing, and women should do what’s best for them," Kareena told.
Kareena, who is expecting her second child in 2021, is shooting for her podcast What Women Want season 3. The actress's first child, Taimur Ali Khan, will turn 4 on December 20.
