Making headlines ever since it's announcement is ace filmmaker Aanand L Rai's much anticipated next Atrangi Re. Featuring superstar Akshay Kumar with Sara Ali Khan and South star Dhanush. The film went on floors in March this year before the nationwide lockdown was imposed. While the film's first schedule took place in Varanasi, the makers are currently shooting in Agra. Several photos and pictures have gone viral from the sets of Atrangi Re and now, Sara has posted a hilarious video with Akshay on Insagram.
In a video posted by Sara, she can be seen introducing Akshay who is still wearing his character's headgear. “While the Taj is wahan, Mr Kumar is yahan,” Sara says, leaving the actor holding his head. Akshay then says, "isse ghatiya rhyme aaj tak nahi hui".
This is the first time Aanand will be directing the blockbuster actor Akshay and reportedly, the actor will be bringing something new and never seen before for the audiences. In Akshay’s own words ‘a special role that my heart just couldn’t say no to’.
Directed by Aanand, the A.R. Rahman musical is produced by Colour Yellow Productions and marks the first film in which the trio of Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush will be seen sharing the screen space. Presented by T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films, Atrangi Re is written by Himanshu Sharma.
