Madhur Bhandarkar to make a film titled India Lockdown, to go on floors in January 2021

Madhur Bhandarkar, after Indu Sarkar in 2017, has been missing in action. Now, as per the latest development, the Padma Shri awardee will be making a film titled India Lockdown. Not much about the film is revealed. Produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and P J Motion Pictures, the film will go on floors in January 2021.

As the title itself suggests, India Lockdown appears to be set in the times of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Government of India announced a lockdown in March for a few weeks after the sudden outbreak of Coronavirus. However, the lockdown was extended till June. As of now, the Maharashtra Government has announced a night curfew to contain the spread of the deadly virus. Speaking of Bollywood and lockdown, a number of web series were released with the virus as their central theme.
