Christmas in B-town is synonymous with the Kapoor Khandaan’s lunch and it was no different this year. The first family of Bollywood took their coronavirus tests and got together for a scrumptious lunch at Shashi Kapoor’s son Kunal Kapoor’s house. Randhir Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Rima Kapoor Jain, Manoj Jain, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain, Anissa Malhotra Jain, Tara Sutaria, Samiera Kapoor, Kiaan Raj Kapoor and several others from the clan got together for the feast. Rishi Kapoor who passed away this year and his wife Neetu Kapoor who is busy with the shoot of Jug Jugg Jeeyo were heartily missed.
Speaking about the traditional lunch, Randhir told a leading daily, “We have been following this tradition for years — our annual Christmas lunch at Shashi Kapoor’s house. After he passed away, his son Kunal took it forward, so we all meet up at his home for lunch. We love food and the lunch has a traditional scrumptious spread of turkey, mashed potatoes, ham and raisin pudding. It’s good to catch up with everyone, and this occasion is special since we have managed to continue it for decades. Chaiji must be very happy that the tradition started by her is being continued by the next generation.”
He also spoke about missing Rishi at the lunch party and said, "It was very nice to be with the entire family under one roof. This year, we missed Rishi.” Speaking about Neetu missing out on the lunch he said, “She is still not back from the North from her shoot of Jug Jugg Jeeyo. But she could be in Mumbai now anytime soon."
