Ranbir Kapoor is teaming up with Kabir Singh's director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for a thriller titled Animal. The film's announcement was made on January 1 with an audio teaser. Co-starring Anil Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra and Bobby Deol, Animal promises to be a chilling father-son story. Now, days after the announcement, buzz has it that Tripti Dimri is being considered to play the lead actress along with Parineeti.
According to reports, Tripti, who has become Bollywood's favourite after the magnanimous success of her web film Bulbbul, left the makers impressed with her audition clip. Reportedly, Sara Ali Khan was also a contender with Tripti. Details of the role are kept under wraps. However, an official announcement on the same is awaited.

Tripti, who is indeed the It girl right now, made her debut in Laila Majnu (2018) along with Avinash Tiwary. They worked together in Anushka Sharma-backed feminist supernatural film Bulbbul. The Anvita Dutt directed Netflix film won Tripti her first-ever Filmfare OTT Award in 2020.
Produced by T-series, Bhadrakali Pictures and Murad Khetani’s Cine1Studios, Animal will go on floors by mid-2021.
