Filmmaker-producer Ali Abbas Zafar has tied the knot in a private ceremony. The Tiger Zinda Hai director shared the news with his fans and followers as he shared a photo from his wedding of him holding the hands of his wife. He captioned the picture as, "Bismillah". He did not reveal the identity of his wife and shared a close-up photo of their hands only.
Many of Ali’s colleagues from the film industry extended their best wishes. “Congratulations to u both,” his close friend and actor Katrina Kaif wrote. Her sister, Isabelle Kaif, also wished the newlyweds. “Congratulations you guys,” she commented. “Wowwww!! @aliabbaszafar,” actor Angad Bedi wrote. Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor also congratulated the newlyweds in the comments section of Ali's post.
On the work front, Ali's debut web directorial project Tandav will release on January 15, 2021. The 9-episode engrossing political drama is written by Gaurav Solanki and features a stellar ensemble cast including Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Dino Morea Kumud Mishra, Gauahar Khan, Amyra Dastur, Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub, Kritika Kamra, Sarah Jane Dias, Sandhya Mridul, Annup Sonii, Hitten Ttejwani, Paresh Pahuja and Shonali Nagrani among others.
The trailer of the show was released this afternoon and the series seems to be a promising one. In 2019, Ali had turned producer with Maqbool Khan's Khaali Peeli starring Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter.
