Janhvi Kapoor's Good Luck Jerry shoot comes to a halt due to Punjab protest, team forced to extend support to farmers?

Janhvi Kapoor recently started shooting for her upcoming film titled Good Luck Jerry. The Aanand L Rai backed project is the Hindi remake of Nayanthara's Tamil-language film titled Kolamavu Kokila. Janhvi's look from Good Luck Jerry was revealed on January 11. It is being filmed in Punjab, amid the ongoing farmers' protest and this reportedly affected the shoot a few days ago. According to a publication, a few protesting farmers surrounded Janhvi and the crew. They reportedly stalled the shoot till all of them extended their support towards the farmers. 

According to the report, the shoot was taking place at Bassi Pathana in Punjab when a group of farmers arrived and shouted slogans against the crew. It is being said that they told the crew that the shoot will be permitted only if they wrote in favour of the protesting farmers. Reportedly, the incident took place in front of the police and the farmers left the location when the crew extended support.

A few days ago, Janhvi, on her Instagram, shared a note that read, "Farmers are at the heart of our country. I recognise and value the role that they play in feeding our nation. I hope a resolution is reached soon that benefits the farmers."

Good Luck Jerry is presented by Subaskaran and Aanand L Rai. It is produced by Colour Yellow Production with LYCA Productions in association with Sundial Entertainment. The film is directed by Sidharth Sengupta and written by Pankaj Matta. It also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Meeta Vashishth, Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh in pivotal roles.
