Late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor got into films in 2018 with Dhadak. Three years later, Janhvi's younger sister Khushi Kapoor is all set to follow her footsteps into Bollywood. Yes! Khushi, 20, is gearing up for her grand launch as an actress and her father Boney confirmed it. The producer, who is making his acting debut in Luv Ranjan's next starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, told a leading daily that Khushi wants to pursue acting.
What's more? Khushi's debut film will be announced soon. Boney told the daily that Sridevi's younger daughter is keen on acting and the official announcement is on its way. "Yes, Khushi is also keen on acting. You will hear an announcement soon," Boney told.
The doting father shared that he won't be launching Khushi. Boney's other two children- Janhvi and Arjun Kapoor got a grand launch but not by their father's production house. The producer turned actor said, "I have the resources, but I would rather have someone else launch her because I am her father and one tends to get indulgent. You can’t afford to do that as a filmmaker and nor is it good for the actor. Anil (brother Anil Kapoor) was still an established actor, so it didn’t affect him much, but I think I became an indulgent brother with Sanjay (Sanjay Kapoor) when he made his entry into films."
Khushi, in a video that went viral in 2020, spoke about her dream to become an actress. Coming from a filmy family, Khushi expressed her desire to work with them but only after proving herself. "I will definitely love to work with my family at some point in the future. I would like to kind of prove myself and prove my place in the industry before I jump into working with my family. There's really no other way to go about it but just immerse yourself into it," she said.
