Priyanka Chopra Jonas has delivered a knockout performance with Adarsh Gourav and Rajkummar Rao in Netflix's film, The White Tiger. The Ramin Bahrani directorial released on January 22 and received a thumbs up from critics and the audience. Priyanka, who is basking in praises for her portrayal of Pinky, spoke about chasing the film in Variety‘s Awards Circuit podcast. She said she wants to play various characters and not be stereotyped.
“I’m really looking for a trajectory where I have the ability to play various characters and genres and not be bogged down or put into a box or a stereotype of what I can do. That was my career in India. I've played various different characters, and I've played a lot of immersive parts," Priyanka told.
Not just critics and the audience, Priyanka's husband, American pop singer Nick Jonas, also became a fan of her work in The White Tiger. Talking about his reaction, Priyanka said Nick felt she'll be the first Jonas to win an Oscar. "He was like, 'You may be the first Jonas to win an Oscar," Priyanka shared.
