Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated sports film ’83 is finally heading to theatres. Quashing all rumours and speculations the actor took to Instagram to announce that the film based on India’s first World Cup win in 1983 will hit screens on June 4, 2021.
Ranveer shared the film’s poster and captioned it, “June 4th, 2021 !!!! in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. See you in cinemas !!! #thisis83.”

The actor plays the role of former cricketer and India captain Kapil Dev in the film while Deepika Padukone will play his wife Romi Dev.
’83 is directed by Kabir Khan and boasts an ensemble cast of Tahir Raj Bhasin, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Nishant Dahhiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Adinath Kothare, Ammy Virk, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Jiiva, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree and others.
