Prabhas, Deepika Padukone & Amitabh Bachchan's sci-fi thriller will go on floors around June-July, confirms director Nag Ashwin

Nag Ashwin won a National Award for the Telugu-language biographical drama Mahanati (2018) starring Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, and Vijay Devarakonda. Now, he is busy working on the pre-production of his upcoming sci-fi film with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan. The yet-to-be-titled project was announced in 2020 and since then, fans are excited to watch the three megastars in the pan-world film. 

Talking to a leading daily about the film, Nag Ashwin said it will go on floors around June-July this year. "I have had my round of meetings with all three of them separately. Pre-production has been going on for long. We will begin shooting around June-July," he told.

Speaking about the genre, Nag Ashwin said, "I am partial to the sci-fi genre. I have grown up watching these films. I am also fascinated by mythologies. Basically, I like stories that involve magic and illusion."

The director has roped in Spanish cinematographer Dani Sanchez-Lopez and composer Mickey J Meyer for the film which will be shot across India. Veteran filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao has joined the team as a mentor.
