Karan Johar has promised his fans and cinema lovers to keep them entertained throughout the year. Not just on the big screen, but Karan is ensuring people seated at home are getting a chance to experience different stories and meet new characters with web content. Now, in 2021, the filmmaker isn't only launching new actors and actresses. He will be introducing young, bright and talented filmmakers to the vast world of cinema.
Today, on social media, Karan announced the names of 14 new directors who have joined his Dharma Productions to tell some interesting stories. As the production house completes 4 decades in Bollywood, the filmmaker is all set for another exciting year. Sharing a video, Karan wrote, "Over the last four decades, #DharmaProductions has groomed over 20 directors who have honed their skill set over the years to create magic on the big screen, and now #TeamDharma is all set to usher in a new age of cinema with 14 young and talented storytellers joining the Dharma family. Their modern perspective on cinema will bring in a new era of content, spreading across the mediums. Be it theatrical or digital, our new roster of storytellers are ready for it all. The #DirectorsOfDharma have many stories brewing in their kitchen, and I can’t wait to see what they bring to the table. Stay tuned!"
The directors are Sharan Sharma, Raj Mehta, Collin DCunha, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Paras Chakravarti, Vivek Soni, Amritpal Singh Bindra, Anand Tiwari, Karan Singh Tyagi, Anubhuti Kashyap, Shazia Iqbal, Pushkar Ojha, Sagar Ambre and Kayoze Irani.
Recently, Karan started his own talent management company named Dharma Cornerstone Agency. He will be supporting young talents like Tripti Dimri, Gurfateh Singh Pirzada, Dhairya Karwa and Lakshya.
