In the wake of rising COVID-19 cases again, Govt. advises theatres, cinema halls and multiplexes to operate at 50% capacity

In January this year, the Government permitted theatres, multiplexes and cinema halls to operate at 100% capacity amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The decision was taken only when the country managed to flatten the curve after a long battle. Apart from theatres, other public places were opened. However, in the past few weeks, COVID-19 cases are on a rise once again.

In the wake of rising cases once again, the Government has issued a new set of guidelines. Speaking of theatres, cinema halls and multiplexes, they are allowed to operate but at 50% capacity only. The new guidelines were tweeted on BMC's official Twitter account.
