Akshay Kumar is teaming up with Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha for Ram Setu. The Abhishek Sharma directorial aims "to keep alive the ideals of Ram in the consciousness of all Bharatiyas by building a bridge (setu) that will connect generations to come." Akshay, who was vacationing with his family in the Maldives, returned to Mumbai to get back to work. Before the filming of Ram Setu begins, the team will be uniting in Ayodhya today.
Akshay, Jacqueline and Nushrratt will be in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, for the mahurat shot. Akshay, on Twitter, shared a picture with his leading ladies and wrote, "A special film, a special start...Team #RamSetu off to Ayodhya for the mahurat shot. And so the journey begins. Need special wishes from all you guys."

Ram Setu is produced by Aruna Bhatia under Cape of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment's Vikram Malhotra and Lyca Productions. SubasKaran & Mahaveer Jain join forces with Cape Of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment for Ram Setu. Amazon Prime Video will be the co-producer. The release date of Ram Setu is yet to be announced.
