John Abraham’s and Emraan Hashmi’s gangster drama Mumbai Saga released yesterday and has managed to get the cash registers ringing at the box office as the theatres opened after nearly a year. Mumbai Saga managed to emerge victorious on Day 1 with first day’s collection of Rs 2.82 crore is the biggest non-holiday collections with 50% occupancy limitations in a few regions. In order to encourage the audience to come to the theatres to enjoy the big screen experience, John and Emraan turned up at a cinema hall to sell tickets of their film.
Sharing a video of the same, Emraan wrote on Twitter, “Amartya and Vijay invite you to watch the BIGGEST FACE-OFF OF THE YEAR on the big screen, the best way to watch it. Follow all the safety norms, be safe & enjoy the SAGA OF THE YEAR." The video shows John selling tickets at the counter while Emraan is sitting beside him.

At around midnight, Emraan teased his fans by sharing a video from Gaiety Theatre in Mumbai. The video had a clip of Mumbai Saga playing on the big screen and the audience whistling to a scene when Emraan comes up with a powerful dialogue. Mumbai Saga is directed by Sanjay Gupta and boasts of an ensemble cast. It also stars Suniel Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Rohit Roy, Anjana Sukhani, Mahesh Manjrekar, Prateik Babbar, Samir Soni, Amole Gupte, Gulshan Grover and others. The film has been lapped up by the audience and the House Full board can be seen in front of several theatres, a phenomenon that is taking place almost a year later.
